From the CTC Events Team: An Update Regarding COVID-19
AN OPEN MESSAGE REGARDING COVID-19 FROM: CITRUS TOWN CENTER COMMUNITY EVENT COORDINATORS
While we were preparing a message to advise you of the situation regarding our annual events provided free at Citrus Town Center, Sacramento County released a new legal mandate, that we wished to make sure all our loyal supporters were aware of.
Sacramento County Health Officer Issues COVID-19 Order
Effective 3/19/20 at 11:59pm all individuals living in the County have been directed to stay at their place of residence except for essential activities.
This legal order is based on the same directives of social distancing issued this week to slow the transmission of the disease, but it provides more detail and enforcement ability. The legal order limits activity, travel and business functions to only the most essential needs and is intended to protect those most vulnerable to the disease, slow the spread of the novel Coronavirus, and preserve local healthcare capacity.
All businesses with a facility in the County, except Essential Businesses, are required to cease all activities at facilities located within the County except Minimum Basic Operations. For definitions, please see the Public Health Order. This order will affect many of our stores and restaurants.
All public and private gatherings of any number of people occurring outside a household or living unit are prohibited, except for the limited purposes as expressly permitted. All bars, wineries and brewpubs should be closed, and all in-dining at restaurants should cease operation.
Prior to this new county mandate, we had elected to cancel our annual Spring Celebration in April. To those of you who make our annual Citrus Town Center events a family tradition, we understand any disappointment this might bring.
Future events currently planned for 2020 included, but were not limited to; Summer Safari Day Camps, the Summer Outdoor Movie Nights Series, Back-to-School event, Sprout's Fall Family Fair, our Holiday Open House, and other surprise events, are all on a tentative 'hold' until which time it is deemed safe to once again, hold our free community events.
In the meantime, we wish to remain in touch with our Citrus Town Center customers, and our social media followers. To this end, we will be hosting monthly games and contests on Citrus Town Center's Facebook page, with grand prize winners receiving $200 - $250 in 'your choice' of Merchant Gift Cards. The first contest will be posted on April 1, 2020.
Please be sure to check out the Citrus Town Center Facebook page, where we will be explaining our new monthly contests, as well as keeping our local community advised of any updates from the County of Sacramento and the State of California regarding the Coronavirus.
We wish you all good health, safety from the virus, and the strength to endure these concerning issues to us all during this time.
